Benchmarks Real world tests of Xperia Z Ultra vs Galaxy S4

geekbench Processor and memory performance

When we ran several benchmarks repeatedly over a 20 minute period, we noted that the Galaxy S4 throttled the CPU and Adreno 320 graphics chip and benchmark numbers dropped.

While we're miffed we don't have the option of this other version (it's smashed the benchmarks in many tests, legitimately or not) there are questions about whether the battery will hold up as well as the device flicks between the two quad core processors inside - it could improve efficiency or deplete it, depending on the implementation, so perhaps bigger isn't always better.

That quad core S4 Pro CPU was hot stuff in the fourth quarter of 2012, but in Q2 of 2013, the world has already moved on to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 that's clocked a bit higher and benchmarks even faster.

Alternatively, the standard email app is available as well to handle other email services, but its functionality and interface is similar to Gmail.

Gaming on the Samsung Galaxy S4 is handled by the Adreno 320 GPU, which obviously can not only handle a much larger number of pixels, but can also work its magic when it comes to giving smooth, real to life gaming on the go.
