It feels very nice to the touch, but can be quite slippery and attracts a lot of fingerprints.
by GSM Arena (Aug, 2012)
It has a dual digitizer with both capacitive touch and a digital pen (included) that's much more precise than a capacitive stylus.

Reviews Word on the street for the Samsung GALAXY Note

8.5
The phone's insanely high resolution 1280 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED HD display is easy on the eyes.

7.5
Luckily, its 1080p high definition video recording quality is much more pleasant looking, and as a whole, we find it to be extremely sharp looking.

8.0
285ppi is what it gives us, and not only are colours vibrant and sharp, but it looks easily as good as anything that Apple produces with a 'retina' label, even though it's obviously a lot bigger.

7.9 Out of 10

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

As much as we dearly enjoy viewing multimedia content on its large and lovely looking Super AMOLED display, we can just as easily share it on the big screen with the aid of an MHL adapter – thus, giving us that all too useful mirrored experience.
by PhoneArena (Feb, 2012)
Beyond that, it’s also able to display more things without compromising details since its resolution is remarkably adept in maximizing every inch of its large display.
by PhoneArena (Feb, 2012)
We're happy to say that everything on the screen is very clear and easily readable.
by PhoneArena (Nov, 2011)

Carrier

You can compare the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note with many other phones using our Size Visualization Tool.
by PhoneArena (Jul, 2012)
Unfortunately though, none of the U.S. carriers has announced plans to carry the Galaxy Note yet.
by PhoneArena (Nov, 2011)
AT&T's LTE network is a perfect partner for the Galaxy Note.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2012)

Video

Needless to say, with a screen that big and resolution this high the Galaxy Note makes a great portable video player.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2012)
While the display quality is understandably far from what you'd see on a new 1080p flagship smartphone, for example, it's fairly crisp to the naked eye, and offers a sharper image than many of Samsung's other tablet offerings, such as the Tab 2 7.0.
by GSM Arena (Apr, 2013)
Stock Android doesn't have a dedicated video player app, but Samsung always provides one for its Galaxy slates.
by GSM Arena (Aug, 2012)

Apps

Recently, Google also redesigned the Android Market interface to make it easier for you to find the quality apps.
by GSM Arena (Nov, 2011)
Long gaming sessions, GPS navigation and lots of streaming video will consume battery more quickly.
by MobileTechReview (Jul, 2012)
The music app is stock Android with that Samsung look and it does the job well enough, allowing you to create playlists on the fly or filter your music by artist, album and so on.
by TechRadar (Oct, 2012)

Camera

The actual image quality is pretty good for a 5 megapixel camera.
by GSM Arena (Apr, 2013)
The camera interface is the standard one for TouchWiz 4.0, which is a good thing because it works pretty fast.
by PhoneArena (Nov, 2011)
Contrast is good, if not the best around and colors are nice, resulting in image quality that's generally superior than the Apple offering.
