Nokia Lumia 620

Released January, 2013
  • Windows Phone, 8
  • 3.5G
  • 3.8"
  • Dual core 1 GHz
The 5 MP camera and microSD card support are a welcome bonus, but it's the dual-core Krait chip and ClearBlack 3.8" display that shine the most, while the colorful and almost unibody-like chassis sets it apart in a crowd.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
Scrolling and swiping on the screen is fast, smooth and responsive, and with a 246ppi display, everything looks fairly crisp and clear.

Reviews Word on the street for the Nokia Lumia 620

8.0
With a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor running at 1GHz, Adreno 305 graphics and 512MB of RAM, performance was buttery smooth throughout.

8.0
It's got a fairly reasonable pixel density of 246 ppi too, which while not as sharp as most high-end handsets is still good enough to produce fairly crisp images.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

This is also where you'll find the settings screen, though that too can be pinned to the start screen for easier access if you'd prefer.
by TechRadar (Feb, 2013)
The level of resolved detail is great, colors are very pleasant and the dynamic range is decent.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
You can clear it with an upwards swipe and you'll land straight on the Start screen (or whatever screen you were last on).
by TechRadar (Feb, 2013)

Apps

Everything but status updates is listed here: calls, texts (actually threads from the Messaging hub) and emails.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
The Calendar can view sub-calendars for each account you have and can color-code to make them easier to tell apart.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
If you like Windows Phone’s approach with Live Tiles, deeply integrated social networking and built-in Office, Nokia adds even more value to that with its own apps in a well built device.
by PhoneArena (Feb, 2013)

Camera

The close up mode or otherwise macro is great.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
The pixel density of 246ppi provides excellent sharpness and the image quality is surprisingly good.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
We like it that the camera roll doesn't downsize pictures and you can enjoy them in full resolution.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)

Battery

The Nokia Lumia 620 got an endurance of 36 hours - that means you'll need to charge the phone every 36 hours if you do one hour of calling, web browsing and video playback a day.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
Its layout is almost exactly the same as the main player, but as well as listening to your own music on it you can also listen to mixes free of charge.
by TechRadar (Feb, 2013)
The only real issue is the battery, and that's an issue to some extent with every Windows Phone 8 right now.
by TechRadar (Feb, 2013)

Video

The video player in the Music + Videos app is pretty basic - you get thumbnails of your videos and tap one to play it.
by TechRadar (Feb, 2013)
Videos features all, television, music videos, films and personal - think of them like more of categories you can assign your videos to when syncing with Zune.
by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
Bitrate is reasonable at 10.5 Mpbs and the framerate is firmly at 29 fps.
