LG G3

Released May, 2014
  • Android 6.0
  • 4G
  • 5.5"
  • Quad core 2.5 GHz
Still, if you don't look too closely, you'll find that details and sharpness with the G3 are more than sufficient.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
A resolution this high enables a staggering pixel density of 538 ppi, meaning that whatever comes up on screen is supposed to look extremely sharp, without a hint of pixelization.

Reviews Word on the street for the LG G3

The second key aspect of this IPS LCD screen is the resolution.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Screen

It definitely would have been much appreciated if there was a “natural” screen mode in the G3's setting, but oh well ... Display measurements and quality.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
It doesn't get bright enough, contrast isn't particularly good, and neither are the viewing angles, especially in the sun.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)
The LG G3 is yet another phone to arrive with pumped-up saturation of its screen, or at least that's what we can make of the display measurements we've done with it.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)

Camera

The HTC One (M8) is also perfectly competitive in terms of camera speed, so all we can say is that the G3 has a very fast camera, but not necessarily faster than those of its rivals.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
Overall quality of the G3's camera is up there with the best propositions at the moment, but that isn't to say that it's not without any issues whatsoever.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
The camera is awesome.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)

Battery

Whether because of the large panel with high resolution, or something else, the LG G3's 3000 mAh juice pack delivers a sub-par performance in the battery department.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
Because Android is such a sync-heavy OS, battery life experiences will vary heavily between users.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)
Battery life is great, my G3 has easily gotten me through a day of substantial usage.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)

Video

Yes, things do look super-fine, but we can't honestly say that it looks cleaner than 1080p in some way.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
Thankfully, those aren't visible when watching video or viewing images, so you can enjoy the massive, high-resolution display to your heart's content.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)
Do we even need to say that the quality 5.5" screen is just spectacular for... pretty much anything you're going to enjoy on your phone, including video, images, and games.
by PhoneArena (Jun, 2014)

Resolution

Sure, the light pollution is a little overemphasized, as is the greenness of the grass, but overall, this is an amazing night shot for a smartphone that isn't a PureView or a Galaxy K. I have deliberately resized this image such that you can't zoom in on some of the details... the most interesting of which I will now show you.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)
With the G3, you still have a sense of scene, of light, and at a reasonable zoom, convincing detail.
by Android Police (Jun, 2014)
If you zoom in, some of the detail has obviously been mashed up, but I honestly wouldn't have even bothered to take this photo with something like a Galaxy S5 - it'd just come out as a noisy, purple pile of crap.
