BlackBerry has done a pretty good job with the design of the Z30, introducing metallic accents, soft-touch plastic and solid build quality.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2013)
The BlackBerry Z30 is the best Blackberry 10 model so far, bringing the benefits of a large display, plenty of power, a much imporved design compared to the Z10, and solid battery life that has seen us through the day.

Reviews Word on the street for the BlackBerry Z30

Even better, the 720p display and dual core CPU don't impose big demands, so we had absolutely no trouble making it through a full day on a charge (8am to 10pm).

Well, if you’re wondering about that, it’s worth mentioning that BlackBerry 10 currently has about 70,000 apps in BlackBerry World.

It's not the very best display out there and set it against something like the HTC One's LCD and you'll find that the viewing angles aren't as impressive and the whites aren't as clear and bright.

If you don't like the BlackBerry browser then there are a number of alternative browsers in BlackBerry App World, but sadly you won't find any big names like Chrome or Dolphin.

7.8 Out of 10

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Introduction With the largest screen of any BlackBerry phone so far, large battery, and good processor running the latest BB 10.2 OS, the Z30 is the Canadians' undisputed flagship, taking the torch from the 4.2” Z10.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2013)
Sure, the sharp looking display aids the experience, but it doesn’t have the same wow factor as some other handsets.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2013)
In good lighting, it takes lovely shots with pleasing colors and good contrast.
by MobileTechReview (Jan, 2014)

The Games app allows you to tie in your BBM account so you can compete with friends more easily.
by TechRadar (Nov, 2013)
It's easy to share your favourite photos directly from the app via BBM, email, or other social media accounts.
by TechRadar (Nov, 2013)
The apps on offer are getting better and some of the early troubles with apps have now been resolved, so BB10 is a better offering than it was earlier in the year.
by PocketLint (Oct, 2013)

Likewise, we can say the same thing about its 1080p video recording quality – with nothing that really jumps at us.
by PhoneArena (Oct, 2013)
You can also opt to have the flash stay on for recording in the dark and switch between 1080p or 720p quality.
by TechRadar (Nov, 2013)
You can edit videos with tools to crop, enhance, and shorten available via Edit in More options.
by TechRadar (Nov, 2013)

The camera boasts a 5-element f/2.2 lens and back-side illuminated (BSI) sensor.
by PocketLint (Oct, 2013)
It's an 8 megapixel camera with BSI, HDR, a fast f/2.2 lens and an LED flash.
by MobileTechReview (Jan, 2014)
The camera is relatively fast and we captured some good shots with it.
by TechRadar (Nov, 2013)

Whatever it is, we're happy with the battery performance it offers.
by PocketLint (Oct, 2013)
But like all smartphones, a busy day full of calls, photo snapping and using the maps will see the battery deplete at a fair rate.
by PocketLint (Oct, 2013)
It should certainly see you through a normal day's use with change, and you may even make it a couple of days between charges.
